Full-Stack Web Developer (WordPress / Laravel)

The Role

As a Full-Stack Web Developer, you will work across both client and internal projects, taking websites, applications and features from design through development and launch.

Your main focus will be:

• Custom WordPress Development
• Laravel
• Vue 3 / Inertia
• WooCommerce
• Landing Pages
• Internal Web Applications
• AI-Assisted Development

Our WordPress projects are built using our Bedrock/Sage stack with Tailwind, Alpine, Vite and ACF.

We do not use page builders.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building, solving problems and taking ownership of their work.

You will work directly with our CTO and collaborate closely with designers, account managers, strategists and other members of the Skyleads team.

Key Responsibilities

WordPress & Web Development

• Build custom WordPress websites using Bedrock/Sage, Tailwind, Alpine, Vite and ACF.
• Turn Figma designs into accurate, responsive and high-quality websites.
• Develop custom WordPress themes from scratch without relying on page builders.
• Build and maintain WooCommerce stores with custom functionality.
• Apply technical SEO, Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse best practices.

Laravel & Full-Stack Development

• Develop and maintain Laravel applications, internal tools, client dashboards and APIs.
• Build Vue 3 front-ends using Inertia within Laravel applications.
• Work with Eloquent, migrations, queues and API development.
• Use Nuxt with Laravel APIs when required.

Landing Pages & Funnels

• Build landing pages and funnels for our international clients, including projects built inside GoHighLevel.
• Work closely with the performance marketing team to create pages focused on conversion and measurable business results.

AI-Assisted Development

AI is already an important part of our development workflow.

You will:

• Use AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor or GitHub Copilot as part of your daily work.
• Work with AI-assisted and Figma-to-code development workflows.
• Review and take responsibility for AI-generated code before anything goes live.
• Contribute to our internal AI prompts, skills, documentation and development workflows.
• Research and introduce new tools and approaches that can help us build better and faster.

We are looking for someone who sees AI as a way to become a better developer, not as a replacement for strong technical fundamentals.

Collaboration & Ownership

• Turn briefs and Figma designs into production-ready solutions.
• Work closely with the CTO, designers, strategists and account managers.
• Take ownership of your work from development through launch and deployment.
• Manage your priorities and deadlines independently.
• Communicate progress and technical decisions clearly.
• Identify and raise blockers early.
• Maintain a high standard of quality across everything you deliver.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional PHP web development experience, ideally in an agency or studio environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with custom WordPress development.
• Experience building WordPress themes from scratch using ACF.
• Ability to work without page builders.
• Professional experience with Laravel, including Eloquent, migrations, queues and APIs.
• Experience with Vue 3, ideally with Inertia.
• Strong HTML, CSS and JavaScript knowledge.
• Experience with Tailwind CSS, Vite and npm.
• Ability to turn Figma designs into accurate, responsive interfaces.
• Daily experience with Git, branches and code reviews.
• Practical experience using an AI coding assistant such as Claude Code, Cursor or GitHub Copilot.
• Very good written and spoken English.
• Ability to work independently and stay organised in a fully remote environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
